Huda Imam

I’m a graduate of the London School of Economics (LSE) in Management Studies, and a Jerusalemite Palestinian. I currently work as an advisor in education & cultural affairs, supporting Jerusalem cultural institutions under threat of being shut down by the Israeli occupation. I do this through communication & institutional development strategies. Despite the challenging situation caused by closures & checkpoints, as a HuP trustee, I enjoy helping to connect children together between all the parts of Occupied Palestine and the wider world, sharing their stories and teaching hope.

I am the global lead trainer of the International Diploma in Language Teaching Management (IDLTM) and co-author of From Teacher to Manager: Managing Language Teaching Organisations (CUP, 2008) amongst other books. I have been involved in English language teaching for 30 years. I live in Transylvania (Romania) and travel all over the world training and presenting. I am a senior lecturer in Music technology at the London College of Music, University of West London. I’ve been teaching in higher education for over 20 years, utilising technology assisted learning in a range of contexts. My research interests centre on human computer interface design in improvised musical performance, and I’ve written a number of published articles and papers relating to this. Recently I’ve been involved in a European Union bid to aid refugee integration and staged a large event in support of the refugee crisis.
